Silver Oxide contact materials for high-reliability switching devices

Silver oxide contact materials are manufactured by sintering or internal oxidation and offered high electrical conductivity (72 to 88% IACS). Among these contact materials, AgSnO₂ (silver tin oxide) is widely used in different switching devices due to its excellent arc resistance and durability.
The use of AgCdO (silver cadmium oxide) contact materials has been significantly reduced in many regions as a result of environmental regulations and compliance requirements (REACH / RoHS).
AgZnO (silver zinc oxide) is used in specific electrical contact applications where good anti-welding behavior and stable switching performance are required.

Ideal for industrial contactors and circuit breakers, silver oxide contact materials are able to withstand currents ranging from 10A to 3500A.
